I wanted to work in a safe and secure workplace, working in cutting-edge fields

I wanted to work in a company with the scale and brand power to feel secure and take on the challenge of cutting-edge technology. That was my goal in my job search. In addition to the IT industry, I was also interested in mass media but considering work-life balance and other aspects, I focused on user-oriented IT companies.

The first reason I thought DLTX was the best place to achieve my goals was because I had a very good impression of the employees, I spoke to from the recruitment selection process to the interviews after receiving the job offer. I felt that all the employees had an "easy-going atmosphere" where I could directly express my questions and requests. Another big attraction was the nature of the work, which allows me to engage in "aggressive IT" using the latest technologies and methods.

Making use of the valuable experience gained at M3Harbor

My current job, which I have been in charge of since April 2024, my fourth year at the company, is developing screens for tablet devices for the "DL Pad II System", which supports Dai-ichi Life's sales activities. While working on development to make the interface easier to use for Dai-ichi Life's sales representatives and customers, I also respond to errors that occur on the screen. Since I can see and touch the results of the development directly, it is a job that makes it easy to feel a sense of fulfillment in my daily work.

Since I had been in charge of host-related tasks for this system for the three years since I joined the company, I was able to utilize the knowledge and experience I had gained up to that point, but at first I was confused by the differences in the terms I used on a daily basis. I think the reason I was able to get used to my new duties faster than I expected was because of my experience in the M3Harbor Promotion Department, which trains digital transformation-related personnel and where I held a concurrent position for three months after my duties were changed.

At M3Harbor, you will learn the various knowledge and skills required for development in the digital transformation field, as well as the mindset to apply them in the field, in a practical way.
In our team, each member decided on a theme and worked on developing content that could be used as a "picture book". I worked on creating a picture book of nearby Izakayas that would be easy for DLTX employees working in the Toyosu office to use. First, we created a format to post basic information and images of each store and created sample content based on the 12 stores we actually visited.

The joy and importance of interacting with people

For those of us who joined the company as new graduates in 2021, we have spent most of our time, from job hunting as university students to our first year working at DLTX, under the serious impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. We have somehow managed to get through unexpected situations, such as employment exams being postponed or canceled, and interviews suddenly being held online.

DLTX's induction training was a hybrid of face-to-face and online training, but I will never forget the indescribable sense of security I felt when I first met and spoke with my fellow recruits during the in-person training. I've always liked interacting with people, but through my experiences before and after joining the company, I was reminded of the joy and importance of talking with people face-to-face. I still keep in touch with my fellow recruits, who work in different departments.

My immediate goal is to improve my knowledge and skills in development work and deepen my understanding of DLTX's business and initiatives. In the future, I would like to take on the challenge of working in the field of "aggressive IT", such as working with cutting-edge technology.
