System Solution Business for The Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company, Limited

Dai-ichi Life's life insurance business is diverse, covering everything from insurance sales activities to the signing of new policies, the management of assets entrusted to us, and the payment of insurance claims and benefits. DLTX develops and operates the large-scale systems that support these activities.

01 Insurance system

We support Dai-ichi Life's life insurance business with cutting-edge IT technology.

Insurance systems are core systems at the heart of the life insurance business, and handle a variety of insurance administration tasks and rate calculations from when a customer signs up for a new policy to when the coverage expires. Advanced actuarial science and product knowledge are essential for system development for insurance products, and with a high level of expertise, we operate complex and huge insurance systems stably.

02 Sales support system

We support the overall marketing strategy of the life insurance business.

We develop and operate various systems that support the sales activities of Dai-ichi Life's Total Life Plan Designers, sales offices, branch counters, and staff. We operate approximately 50,000 tablet computers called "DL Pad" nationwide, and in addition to consulting services, we support the improvement of customer satisfaction and business quality by enhancing the efficiency of customer information management and marketing operations.

03 Asset management and accounting system

We Enable reliable and stable asset management and accounting.

We develop and operate the asset management system that supports Dai-ichi Life's asset management, and the accounting system that supports the general affairs system. We provide stable services for asset management activities in the life insurance business and contribute to optimizing administrative work through accounting support.

04 Infrastructure system

We Ensure that the system is up and running.

The life insurance industry's system infrastructure is characterized by an extremely large amount of data held, as well as a large number of sales offices and Total life plan designers. Our company is responsible for the development, maintenance, and operation of a huge network, and as we store and manage important personal data of customers, we require complete security, and we respond with cutting-edge, advanced security technology while maintaining high reliability. In addition, by utilizing virtual technology, we have significantly reduced the number of physical servers, reducing power consumption and operating costs, supporting the entire infrastructure system.

05 DX Promotion

With the aim of improving the experience value of users and employees, we are creating new value through digital transformation (DX) and expanding the possibilities of customer experience.
In the DX field, we are promoting proof of concept (PoC) for research and business application of cutting-edge technology and also working to solve customer problems using data science. In addition, we are focusing on human resource development so that employees can grow and deepen their expertise in the field of DX.

We provide system solutions to a wide range of customers based on the knowledge, technology, and experience we have cultivated by supporting the Dai-ichi Life Group from the systems side. We have a proven track record, primarily in the development of systems for various financial services, including life insurance, non-life insurance, and trusts, and are steadily gaining recognition. We aim to become a solutions company that supports many companies and creates new value not only in the insurance and financial industries but also in various other fields.
