Studied how AI can support salespeople
Since joining DLTX as mid-career hire in September 2023, I have been in charge of PoC (Proof of Concept) to verify new technologies and ideas. Specifically, my main job is to research and verify "how AI should be utilized in the business of Dai-ichi Life and group companies" and "what kinds of AI applications can be utilized".
In a project that I participated in immediately after joining the company, we verified "the method and effect of summarizing daily reports written by Dai-ichi Life Group sales representatives using AI". Rather than writing simple prompts to create summaries, we conducted specific research and verification to create specialized prompts tailored to the data content and identify data structures that make it easy for AI to understand the text. I was also involved in PoC projects on themes such as "whether AI can provide useful suggestions on the next action that sales representatives should take", "whether business issues can be solved by digitalizing customer management in the analog domain?" and "whether AI coding support tools can improve business efficiency".
Depending on the scale and content of the project, the time spent on PoC ranges from three to six months.
Recently, new technologies and tools have been rapidly increasing and developing, especially in the field of generative AI, so it is important to understand these trends and determine how to apply them to actual work. Whenever time allows, I also attend external seminars to absorb the latest information on AI.

Seeking a Role in Strategic Planning
I was in charge of AI-related PoCs at my previous company for about two and a half years and started looking for a new job when the project I was in charge of reached its conclusion. I considered changing jobs because I felt a strong desire to work in a place where I could tackle client and internal issues from a broad perspective and propose plans. I decided to join DLTX because I felt that there was an environment where I could be involved in planning while also performing my duties as an engineer.
In my previous job, I was involved in the development of services using AI, so I had a certain understanding of the characteristics of AI. Although the types of AI I handled were different in my previous job, I was able to predict that "this type of result is likely to come out in this type of case", I felt that I was able to start working at DLTX more smoothly than I expected.

DLTX provides an environment where dreams can be realized
My current goal is to be the one that people think of when they have a problem at Dai-ichi Life, its group companies, or DLTX, rather than an external vendor. To achieve this, I keep catching up on cutting-edge technologies, including AI, so that I can respond appropriately when someone consults me about something. In the future, I would like to use my skills and knowledge to be involved in the entire process from planning to PoC and development. I feel that the DLTX environment gives me a chance to achieve this goal.
Another goal is to use the experience that I gained as a salesperson for about four years at the company I joined as a new graduate to work on creating a new system for salespeople.
In my current department, we hold "idea discussion meetings" several times a week, where individual employees put forward issues and ideas and receive advice from other staff and external consultants. I would like to make the most of these opportunities and realize a project that will become DLTX's signature.
